National Call for Artists: Social ARTiFacts: A World Vision Through Art

The Lucy Craft Laney Museum is seeking national, regional and local artists interested in exhibiting their art in this exciting landmark exhibition. There is exhibition space for approximately 40 visual artists, 3 live performances during the opening, 4 areas for display hookups for digital performance viewing, 6 literary display areas for written arts and 6 display areas for sculpture. And genres of art are welcome.


Acceptable Mediums: All visual mediums including painting, digital art, photography, multi-media; sculptures; music; poetry; performance art.

Number of pieces: Maximum 2

Theme: Socially relevant art with reference to historical or current social issues

Application

The Lucy Craft Laney Museum is proud to present a special exhibition of socially relevant art featuring visual and performance artists from around the country. Communicating social issues and creating a dialog about current events has been one of the major roles of the artist in society. An exhibition opening will be held on August 4, 6pm – 9pm.

A committee selected by the Museum will choose participating artists from the electronic submissions. All submissions must be sent via email. Accepted artists will be notified by email and additional details provided. Please send any questions to artists@lucycraftlaneymuseum.com.
