The Children's Academy:Computer, Education, Arts and History Programs
The Lucy Craft Laney Museum welcomes students (ages 6 – 16) throughout the CSRA to attend The Children’s Academy Holiday Camp. Our camps facilitate a fun and family friendly learning environment and are designed as a cultural arts & history learning experience. The 1-day cultural exercise will focus on various creative disciplines, taught by active members of the local arts community.

In December 2007 the children's Academy featured Colonel Pete Igel (retired) who taught students all about Philately and the hobby of stamp collecting. The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History, in conjunction with Richmond County Community in Schools, also conducted a day-long field trip for the students and expose dthem to various historical and cultural entities in the Augusta area.
